Dear Me, 

With this menopause love letter, I want to address the remarkable woman who stands before me, navigating the uncharted waters of menopause with courage and resilience.

Therefore, I write to you as an embodiment of compassion, kindness, love, and empathy.

The journey

You are a force to be reckoned with.

Throughout your life, you have shown unwavering strength and achieved incredible success.

Whether or not you have brought children into this world, you possess a nurturing soul that radiates love and care that so many have been lucky enough and blessed to receive from you.

You have weathered countless personal and professional storms and emerged triumphant.

With some battles, you fell but you always managed to get up.

Every. Single. Time.

Your journey has been marked by resilience and unwavering determination.

The new frontier

But now, as you venture into the realm of menopause, it's okay to admit that you're feeling confused and scared.

This is a new frontier, and it's natural to feel apprehensive.

Embrace the vulnerability that comes with this phase.

Allow yourself to be honest about the challenges you face, for in that honesty, you will find strength and connection.

embracing the Goddess Within

Menopause brings a cascade of changes, both physical and emotional.

Your body may feel foreign, and it's normal to question your body composition changes along with your definitions of  beauty and desirability.  

Society hasn't made it easy for the aging female. 

All the "anti-aging" campaigns have imprinted on us rejection of our naturally aging self.

May I remind you with this menopause love letter that your worth transcends any physical transformation.

You are a radiant being, an embodiment of grace and wisdom.

Embrace the goddess that you are becoming and celebrate the journey of self-discovery.

self-compassion

Amidst the fluctuations of hormones and the roller coaster of emotions, be kind to yourself.

Grant yourself the compassion you so readily extend to others.

Understand that the road may be bumpy, but you have the power to navigate it with grace.

You are allowed to seek support and understanding from those around you, but remember that the most vital source of compassion lies within your own heart.

Speaking kindly to yourself and having loving internal dialogue can make this transition a little more kind.

self-doubt

There will be days when you don't feel like yourself, when your emotions run wild, and when self-doubt tries to creep in.

In those moments, I beg you to be gentle with yourself.

Allow the tears to flow, for they carry the weight of your transformation.

Nurture yourself as you have nurtured others, and know that you are deserving of love and care.

Becoming the wise woman

In the midst of these changes, embrace your own strength.

You possess the resilience and wisdom to navigate this uncharted territory.

Trust in your ability to adapt and grow.

Embrace the woman you are becoming—a woman who is wiser, more empowered, and capable of weathering any storm.

The new version of self

I ask you to be your own unwavering companion on this journey. 

Hold your own hand as you face the uncertainties and fears that lie ahead.

Trust in the connection you have with your own soul, for it will be your guiding light.

Be patient with yourself, knowing that you are evolving and blossoming into a new version of yourself—one that is radiant, fierce, and filled with boundless wisdom.
