Ingredients 4 - 7 for Gluten Free Dough Recipe

04 1/2 cup of butter milk

05 Use Beet or Coconut Sugar

07    1 Large Egg

06 Let the stand mixer do its thing!

Flour Bowl
Yellow Heart
Jar
Circled Dot

3 cups of gluten-free 1:1 baking flour

01

Gluten-free flour blends can be a 1:1 ratio substitute for typical pastry or flour blends.

1 cup of Tiger Nut Flour that will kick this pie texture up 20 notches!

02

It's not a NUT! It's a tuber from the Mediterranean that tastes a little sweet, nutty and has a bit of a crunchy texture.

2 sticks of organic unsalted butter

03

Cut up the butter sticks lengthwise then widthwise to make small cubes.

1/2 cup of Buttermilk

04

Even though buttermilk is good to help gluten dough rise, I use it in this gluten free recipe to add a little tang to offset the sweetness of the pie crust.

2 TBS Beet or Coconut Sugar

05

I prefer beet sugar due to its earthy and slightly burnt taste which adds yet another layer of flavor to this crust.

1 Large Egg

06

Crack that bad boy right into the mix and let it roll! Eggs help to keep the flour mixture together.

This gluten-free apple pie is evergreen. No need for Thanksgiving or Christmas! Got extra apples? Get baking!
